Anguilla Island Facts:   Anguilla was colonized by English settlers from Saint Kitts in 1650.  Anguilla was administered by Great Britain until the  early 19th century, when it was made a British dependency, along with Saint Kitts and Nevis.  In 1971, Anguilla was allowed to secede becoming a separate British dependency. It is located at 18 15 N, 63 10.The currency is in East Caribbean (EC's) and is exchanged 2.7 per US dollar. In my estimation it has the best beaches in the world. Celebrities from Oprah to Howard Stern vacation there. The beach pictures are proof.
